Domenica 12 ottobre 2008, news da IQ4GS/5 .
La domenica era iniziata sotto i migliori auspici, anche il meteo sempre imbronciato, era splendido e la temperatura gradevole. Mentre all’esterno erano in atto lavori atti a preparare le infrastrutture di IQ4GS per accogliere l’inverno ormai vicino, nella saletta abitualmente utilizzata per gli incontri di fine giornata era stata attrezzata la stazione radio composta da Ic-2820,Ic-e92d, pc acer aspire 1350 e pc hp compaq 6720s collegati ai rispettivi alimentatori supportati da inverter e 120 ampere di batteria per integrare eventuali carenze della rete elettrica.
Gia’ alle ore 10.00 in anticipo sul programma erano iniziati i collegamenti tra IZ3KEO Alfonso da Verona e I4TDK Filippo da Parma utilizzando la Porta C di IQ4GS, prima in fonia e in seguito inoltrando testi gia preparati in “low speed data “ per verificare la linearita’ del sistema.
A Monte del Giogo utilizzando la Porta B ( 430 Mhz ) collegata alla parabola sud, seguivamo con grande soddisfazione le prove in corso, in attesa della chiamata da parte di ik0nsy Stefano e ik0cna Alberto da Monte Maggiore – Civitavecchia .
La comunicazione tardava e purtroppo intorno alle ore 10.30 lo squillo del telefono ci annunciava un fatto molto spiacevole : l’impianto di Monte Maggiore era stato sabotato, gli illuminatori Uhf ed Shf asportati, l’illuminatore a 50 Mhz gravemente danneggiato, i cavi tagliati.
Lo sconforto era grande, ma a questo punto lo spirito costruttivo dei veri Radioamatori interviene ed ha sopravvento sulle avversita’.
Alle 11.15 il team di Civitavecchia riesce a ricevere in modo chiaro i dati provenienti da Verona, Parma e Monte del Giogo, a prova della fattibilita’ della dorsale Nord-Centro Italia con un solo punto di appoggio.
Purtroppo non e’ stato possibile effettuare il collegamento nella direzione Monte Maggiore – Verona, dato che l’impianto ripristinato a tempo di record, non era ottimizzato per la trasmissione.
I lavori di ripristino sono gia’ iniziati ed il Gruppo di Lavoro stima di poter riprendere le prove programmate entro la fine del corrente mese.
Nonostante questo fatto increscioso, la prova e’ stata considerata valida, dato che sia a fine maggio che l’8 giugno erano stati svolti collegamenti bilaterali con segnali medi superiori a S9 in modo DV E low speed data a 9600 in banda 430 e 19200 bps in banda 1200.
L’appuntamento con i collegamenti in modo DD e’ solo differito nel tempo indispensabile per ripristinare le antenne; nel frattempo si stanno svolgendo collegamenti a breve distanza per migliorare le nostre capacita’ operative.

Sunday was begun under the best auspices, the weather always pouting, was beautiful and pleasant temperature.
