G6HL will be on the air again after 50yrs, the callsign used by Wg Cdr
Ieuan Edward Hills Amateur Radio Station.
Listen out on Saturday 4th October from around 1030Z on 3.650Mhz to help
celebrate the launch of G6HL from the Muckleburgh Collection Museum

GB70RAF RAFARS 70TH ANNIVERSARY.
GB70RAF RAFARS 70th Anniversary will be operational from 14 Nov to 11 Dec
2008 on 2m FM and 80m down to 10m SSB and some CW on RAFARS Frequencies.
QTH will be from Shaftesbury Dorset, WAB ST82. QSL via RSGB or Services.

The AGM will be held at the Shuttleworth Trust in Old Warden
Aerodrome B658 off the A1, Down Hill Lane, Biggleswade SG18 9EP.
RAFARS NEW MORNING 80M NET 1100HRS LOCAL TIME DAILY.
Since the 1100hrs RAFARS Net started up 6 month ago with Jim G4PFR the
response has been fairly good. Jim has been on the net 110 times with the
total contacts of 881 which makes it 8 contacts per day.
Those of you who are not aware, the New Net its every morning at 1100hrs
local on 3.710Mhz with Jim usually in the chair.
Our other 80m National net is of course 1830hrs local every evening on
3.710Mhz. A vote of thanks would not go amiss to all our RAFARS Net
Controllers. See RAFARS Nets back page of the QRZ RAFARS call book.

GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
NOTE GB2RAF will not be operational on the 11 Oct but on the 18 Oct 08
for a Special WW2 over 60s meeting at the Museum and our AGM on the 11 Oct.
Report for 13 Sept 08. 38 contacts made RAFARS members worked were G4PFR
G1GFU, GW0PDB, G1FDL, G0GHK 2E0TSM GB2BP G0SDZ and a quick visit to the
shack by G4AP on a museum visit. Contacted 7 Churches/Chapels on the air
weekend and a DX on 20m on the key to Z36T. Conditions quite good but not
many G Stations on the air.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
