QST, QST, QST! Looking for HAMs in Kitsap County, WA (but welcome suggestions from anyone!)

I am looking for ideas on what we would like to do in Central Kitsap for the SET.

It is the intention of the County to do a call-out using the Phone Tree and have members respond to the Primary Emergency Communications Center (ECC) and make contact with the EOC by as many means as possible.

Our Primary ECC is Station 51. Currently the only means of communication we have from that station are 2m and packet radio via the 220MHz county net.

What I propose is we man up Station 41, 56 and 51, establish our simplex net and use 51 as the focal point for communications to the EOC.

Another goal of the SET is to pass message traffic using the standard NTS style format. In the next few days I am going to draft up some messages I would like to pass (Station Manned and Ready, Request for Relief, Request to Secure, etc...). If any of you have any thoughts or ideas for other messages please feel free to format them using the template available in the files section on our Google Group (groups.google.com/group/Central-kitsap-acs).

We are not held to any specific agenda, so if there is something different you would like to see happen, or a skill you think we could all benefit from practicing, let us know!

Lets have some fun!
