RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
The dinner will take place on Friday 10th October at the Stratton House
Hotel, Biggleswade Bedfordshire SG18 8ED, Telephone 01767 312442 or e-mail

The AGM will be held the next day at the Shuttleworth Trust in Old Warden
Aerodrome B658 off the A1 Down Hill Lane Biggleswade SG18 9EP.
Details were including with the Summer QRV but the directions to the hotel

RAF Cranwell who operated on his own in the Open Section and came 2nd.
DEBRIEF GB2VET VETERANS WEEKEND EAST PARK HULL 2/3RD AUG 2008.
Report by Bernard G0SWO, The event went off very well with a total of 166
QSOs 31 CW, 74 SSB and 61 on VHF. The best DX was W1ZT George in Boston
USA on 20m. A thanks to Ken G4KCF, Bob G0DAM, John G8LCG, Don G4UBY, and
Terry G0KOE. The station also had a long interview with Radio Humberside
and explained what Amateur Radio is all about and a good advertisement for
RAFARS. A full report will be available at the AGM and also in the Spring
QRV Journal.

A Field Rep will be invited to each meeting and travel expenses paid.
All members may ask to attend meetings but expenses are not paid.

for a Special WW2 over 60s meeting at the Museum. AGM on the 11 Oct also.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500hrs local on
RAFARS frequencies SSB or CW on 80m, or 40m if conditions are poor.
