Well, Andy, you seem to have seen something of Aussies that I have not
seen. When did you visit us? Oh you saw it on the telly? Big deal!
Australia has the Institute of Sport which does train promising sports
people of both sexes and in several sports. So have the Yanks (at
Colleges) and don't tell me that the major participants, particularly the
Chinese, and the Eastern Eurpoean countries don't do that on a massive
scale.. We here have the extraordinary idea that we should encourage the
young to participate in sport as a path to good health, Shame on us.
Listen, Andy get the acid out of your mouth. Why don't you fellers come
over here and have a look at the lifestyle and the people instead of doing
what you are very good at - judging us from the safety of your little
castle over there? You can talk to whoever you like in the UK but it does
not give as good a picture as actually coming and looking us over.
As it is your population seems to have spent a great deal of time trying
to transfer themselves to this country, and they have done it in many
thousands, and are still doing it. There must be a reason!
You speak from a position of igmorance. You know littel about us but that
does not stop you.
NZ? We have free migration between us and the LKiwis and there are many
Kiwis working (and playing) here. What would you know about that?

So it's not really anything to do with prowess,> just how much moolah is
available. What would be interesting would be to see how well Ozzie
sportsdudes do if they had the same training budget that the UK used to
have. Not very well would be the answer.
