Hi,
GB7IMK's hard drive died at the end of last year. I was running Mandriva
and using JNOS for my radio ports.
This time, I've built upon Ubuntu 7.10 and AX.25. I have my user AX.25
ports running, along with LinuxNode, along with all tghe usual ampr
services. But I have struggled to get MKISS set correctly.
A snippet:-
#!/bin/sh
PATH=/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin
# Create AX25 intefaces
sleep 1
# Configure com ports
./rc.serial
echo Starting AX.25 networking services:
# Next line does not work. kernel.panic set in /etc/sysctl.conf
# echo 15 > /proc/sys/kernel/panic
# Next line does not work. net.ipv4.conf.default.forwarding set in #
/etc/sysctl.conf
# echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
# 144 port
kissattach /dev/ttyS1 144 44.131.160.241
/bin/sleep 2
### AXIP links
kissattach -m 256 /dev/ptyq0 axip 44.131.160.241
/bin/sleep 2
# link ports
#
# JNOS - attach asy ttyS0 - ax25 slink 20000 512 19200
mkiss -s 19200 /dev/ttyS0 /dev/ptyq1 /dev/ptyq2 /dev/ptyq3
/bin/sleep 2
kissattach /dev/ptyq1 slink 44.131.160.241
kissattach /dev/ptyq2 selink 44.131.160.241
kissattach /dev/ptyq3 433 44.131.160.241
-END OF SNIPPET-
I just keep getting, 'mkiss: open: Input/output error'. Any pointers. I
have three G4YXW 9600 baud modems, connected to a G8ECJ FEP box that I use
for my full-duplex links to other local BBS.
Any help appreciated.
Regards from David G0TWN
