Hello Allyn! What a surprise, to find this posting.
I think you also posted this in my mailbox as well
my FBB ver515c which I mess about with...

That information has changed since then, and I need to
re-check the info and revise it with what I see
presently.

Allyn ...you and I, are the only packet stations on-air
in the Town of Georgina. What a change from a few years
ago when VE3YRA BBS was here in Keswick <part of the town
of Georgina> with a dialup access...or via the landline
BBS < VE3WBZ BBS > on 144.930.

Yes siree...things have changed...VE3FJB BBS went off
after a storm and that was that...via the VE3LSR node
across the lake to the north....while there is still
a node at 145.070 ...145.710 is gone off..no more
responses...so I have yet to hear if it is coming
back on since the node site moved to a higher tower
closeby.

Yes ...with regrets ... I still miss VE3YRA and VE3FJB.

Allyn. I have a prepared text that I drop on every mailbox
I can find letting them know what my findings are. I
have yet to get a reply back from outside this area, on
the listings you mention which are really only for this
area.

I am glad to have been there for you. Or better still
rather then be there, having the packet TNC running and
radio set to 145.630 .and having it serve you on my
behalf...A great feeling.

I think David ZL3AI mentioned "magic" and I too know this
magic as RF and seeeing it used for the first time was
very good feeling.

As for packet rising from the ashes...it is up to us all
to go to clubs and let them know the value of packet
whereby leaving equipment on...can net mail for you
at anytime of the day or night and one gets their sleep
but are alerted by the "MAIL" signal flashing on the TNC.

I will ASP bring out a revised listing Allyn and drop it
into your mailbox, as will also dropoff at other mailboxes.

Thank you for the compliments but more is needed, and
only WE users can increae the packet by using it,
as well going to our local club and pushing it and
it's simple low cost to use..etc.

Also where ever you chat ..HF and UHF..VHF..chat about
Packet...and you will see results, as it is rediscovered.

Allyn...please when you are in Toronto at the club.,
Please checkout FREE packet equipment or what anyone
might have for sale and let me know.

I need a MFJ1274 for a VE2 BBS ... urgent! Also
whatever they might have. FREE or let me know what
they are asking....

Thanks again ....
